Starting at the original Santa Fe Depot and following the railway, this bike path is ideal for nice afternoon ride or a mellower cruise for those still acclimating to the elevation. The first 10 or so miles is paved, but after that it turns into hardpack singletrack through rolling terrain and long, gentle descents. The map provided extends all the way to Lamy, where one could connect to the Galisteo Trail system if desired. Most, though, will ride this as an out-and-back from downtown to El Dorado, making a 20-30 mile scenic ride.
